Please can one of the US Marines out there clarify what the colour of your dress jacket is? All the photographs I have looked at it would appear black and that is why I ask.

Generically speaking there is a dark blue (enlisted) and a black (officer) jacket. I am not 100% if your talking the ICM figure, MSG jackets are slightly modified, so the color might be different.

Ryan: I am indeed thinking of the ICM 1/16th figure and so any help will aid me.

The jacket is a very dark navy blue with red piping.

Also seen it listed as midnight blue.

I've seen jackets in a military surplus store. Definitely a very dark blue.

USMC 1982-1987. The jacket is dark midnight blue with the red piping. Medium blue trousers with the red stripe on the outside of both legs for Cpl.s and above(called the blood stripe). White gloves. Semper Fi.
