Don buy from these guys. They are incompetent. I made a order from them and it has been delayed and when I contact them they say they forgot. Now they have sent my item to NJ and I am in NC. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was an order directly from Miniman Factory dot com, or another model kit site that sells these MmF kits?

Strait from them. After many weeks of not hearing from them. One of the workers there said they forgot my order. Then they give me a racking # for someone else. Bad business.

In my opinion, the real problem is not when someone makes a mistake -we are all humans after all, but the way they deal with mistakes to solve them.
I understand you can be upset but if you finally get the product, even after some delay, I do not think it is fair to advise against buying from them. But if not, then it is a different case.

While ranting about a lost order can make you feel better there are things you do to straighten things out. I see on their site they accept pay pal. I use pay pal almost exclusively because if something happens to my order they have helped get things fixed or I've gotten a refund. In fact I got a refund and the lost shipment showed up several weeks later after I had ordered a replacement so I wound up with two for the price of one. Constant badgering also works. I got an extra shock absorber to from a vendor because my order was delayed for a month so to shut me up they stuck a fifth shock in my order along with a hand written note of apology, a hat and a bunch of other neat stuff. Which doesn't make sense as I only need 4 shocks but it's a free specialty shock that retails at $120 so it goes on the parts shelf. Just my 2 cents.

Well my intent for my post is to let y'all know to beware of these guys. I ordered this item in Feb. Tried multiple times to contact. When they got back with me they said they forgot about my order. Then I asked a week later for a tracking #. They said they had to remake the molds. Ok then another week contacted them and said they went to a show and forgot my order again. Ok so at this point I'm really pissed. So at last they sent me a email with a tracking #. Ok well it was going thru normal way. It got to NY and yesterday the tracking number showed it made it to final destination, in New Jersey. I'm in North Carolina. So letting y'all know beware of them. They are a bad business.

Hi all,
It's miniman here, I am slightly touched in the situation.
I don't want to say a lot, only two facts:
The kind costumer ordered the item on 1th of April, the shipment followed few days later and the tracking status today doesn't show the target of the parcel, but the actual position of the parcel.
I think New Jersey is the forvarding pont and the parcel will be shipped from there to North Carolina...but I am not a postman, they can maybe help more.
Kind regards for all: Your Miniman

I have sent a lot of packages from Croatia to US and New York is the point where all mail comes from Europe to US. Then mail trevels from state to state until your address. Why is your package still in New Jersey, ask US post service, you have tracking number. Attack someone on forum isn't correct.

For me the answer "we forgot your order" sounds a bit beginner and too sincere, a true businnes man even if it was the truth he would have invented something better, I'm not used to this sicerity ...but maybe the "BUYER BEWARE "as it is a scam is perhaps a bit exaggerated even if it's just share their experiences

I have order at least 10 models from him with no problems, I know ahead of time that it may take a bit,but I find it worth it. I know Gabor's kits are expensive and there is a lot of money on the line, but you will get it.
I have ordered kits from China that end up in New York before it gets to me in Alabama. If I mail a package to my next door neighbor it will go through Birmingham before he gets it, lets face it, the mail moves in mysterious ways. Also, everything is routed by the zip code, not the name and the state on the address.

I've ordered stuff out of California that when to Louisville Kentucky before heading back to the west coast to Washington. There are sorting facilities, ports of entry if coming from overseas, distribution hubs, all sorts of arcane parcel handling requirements to get your package from point A to point B (you). They can't carry each package individually from point of purchase directly to you no matter how much you want and unless you fork over the incredible rates for priority handling and shipping things can take time to get to you.

Here"s my "two cents" for what it's worth.
In my opinion forums like these do have a very needed "Buyer beware" function.
Sharing bad experiences with fellow members is nowadays the only way to get sloppy dealers back in to line and, take my word for it, the number of sloppy dealers is growing by the day. The "just-pay-and-shut-up" policy is getting almost common.
Reading all the attempts made to get info about the shipment and the pathetic reaction of "the miniman" which shows no "sorry" tells me the BUYERS BEWARE sign is more than suitable for this dealer/producer who is, when confronted, only pointing at the buyer instead of solving the problem.
So please keep these posts coming. A good dealer has nothing to fear, a sloppy one shoud.

Don't put much stock in the "final destination" bit in USPS, I've had that before and it usually is "transit to final destination" (and sometimes still does a tour of the east coast). It's just routing through NJ. Now if it says "delivered" in NJ then there's a problem!

So one mistake makes a "sloppy dealer"? Can someone show a list of multiple "mistakes" for this dealer? I've seen dealers who are notorious for crappy service and yes they should be pointed out but I've searched this site and a couple others and haven't seen anything else about Miniman Factory but reviews. And as for their response well it's pretty standard for a sales complaint. What do you want them to do? Grovel on the floor begging for forgiveness or a professional, factual response? If it's a small company with 1 or 2 people doing all the work then it is possible that a mistake was made but they rectified it and the item should be there any day. Or could this be a mountain made out of a mole hill? That seems to be the norm nowadays. Let's blow something small out of proportion because I'm pissed and entitled. You don't like the company because they made a shipping mistake? Fine. Seems a minor thing to me because they did fix it and as I said above a refund could have been requested/made with PayPal backing it. That would have been the more mature response rather than whining on a forum. I still do business with the truck part company that made a mistake with one one of my orders because we communicated like adults and they did ship the items a month later than originally promised but I did get them. They haven't made any more mistakes subsequent orders, all have gotten here on time with no drama. And I'm not talking a minor thing like a model but part orders that run into the 4 digit area.
