Does anyone know of an after market mantlet cover for Academy's M60 Blazer kit (kit no 1358)? After doing a a few Takom and Meng kits I thought to do something a little less taxing and significantly less parts. It was going together really well until I came to the turret and noticed the front section of the styrene mantlet was missing from the sprue. The kit is now on hold until I can find an AM replacement or one from another kit.
Alternatively if anyone has not used theirs due to upgrading their model or there are two in the kit (I understand the new Academy M60's have two) and would consider parting with it I would be very grateful and will pay postage.

You can go for the overkill choice and buy the Legend detail set for Academy/Tamiya M60 kits.

Another choice would be the Def model or Legend sets for the AFV M60, which are much cheaper but I do not know how the fit of the manlet would be.

Thanks Nikos,

I found the Legend upgrades but thought they were maybe a bit overkill for a mantlet cover. The DEF barrel and cover looks more promising, I'll see if I can find one.

Many thanks Max.

If you try the DEF gun and manlet could you post some photos of the build. I am very curious to see the fit of the resin parts to the kit.

If the fit is good or easy to fix than the DEF set proves to be a great update to the Tamiya and Academy kits.

I will yes, unfortunately at the moment I can only find a barrel with the concertina bellows and a wind sensor.
