Hey All,

I've been doing a little bit of research, and found what I believe is true, that the old Tristar molds were picked up by Hobby Boss. I've read some reviews of these kits, but wondering if any of you, other than the reviewers, have purchased and built any of the Hobby Boss Panzer I kits, and what you think. I've only ever been interested in the later German armor, the Tigers and Panzer IVs, but I saw a show on Netflix the other day about the German 'Mega' weapons, and they went through the evolution of the Panzers, which piqued my interest in the earlier Panzers. So, what do people think of the HB Panzer Is, and are there any other better (more accurate/detailed) Panzer I kits out there (1/35 scale). Anything anyone has to say would be of interest.

I have two of the original tristar kits and I would rate them as excellent.

At the time (when they were new) Tristar's Pz I's were the equal, or better, than Dragon's. A little tricky to assemble the lower hull from separate plates as the joining edges are chamfered to make an invisible join. Extra care in clean-up is required for perfect fit.
