Have any of you used clear spray lacquer from the home improvement's store? In the store near me they carry Deft Lacquer in Satin, Semi-Gloss, and Gloss for around $6 US a 12 oz can.
It says "Wood Finish", but its lacquer. Thoughts?

If you get some, make sure to test it on a junk model first. I would guess that it's going to be too hot for model plastic.

I tried Krylon once--it yellowed within 60 days.

I tried some once, too. It didn't lay as smoothly as Testors or Alclad lacquers. Shame, because I had an entire gallon of it at my disposal.

Clear laquer, spray thin mist coats. Final coat spray a heavier coat should come out glossy/smooth when dries.
