These "brushes" really do make applying this type of pigment easier. I've been using them for a few months and they make accurate application easy - especially on rifles, machine guns! The set I have is a cheap one but has some brushes with very fine points. Great for rubbing away masking fluid too!

Great "how-to". Are these the same as clay shaping rubber/silicone tipped brushes?
