Hi. Sorry - don't know where to write.
I couldn't find information on the marking of vehicles.
I have -tiger model Panhard VBL (12.7 machine gun)
I need to know how marked this vbl in Lebanon. In 1980s.

How looked like the crew of this car?

Great thanx!

Vbl hasn't been deployed to Lebanon in 1980's because it entered service in 1990.
But. Three vbl's in mexican spec were sent to Lebanon in late 80's, but to make this vehicle you would have to modify it a lot.
If you want to make a Unifil version than Star decals(i think) offers decals for it.
Crew looked like typical french soldier from the era wearing blue helmet instead camo.
Just like "the green man" exept they do admit where they came from...

The first 3 VBL's sent to Lebanon in 1984 were similar to those ordered by the Mexican Army (in fact they were taken from the Mexican order. They had 2 air intakes on the engine hood instead of one. Here's a Mexican Army one picture showing this feature :

These VBL's were painted overall white, like later UNIFIL contigent vehicles, with prominent French flags on front, rear and doors.

Here's a FORPRONU VBL in Croatia in 1992 :

and a SFOR one in 1998 :

If I'm correct you have the Tiger Model kit with the 12,7 mm MG so your choice is "limited" to Lebanon circa 2006 (overall white) and/or Afghanistan/Mali and generally Africa (3 tone camo).

I have pictures of three vbl's in Lebanon. There are some modifications necessary to replicate them.
Tiger model kits are good fo Bosnia onwards versions. Check star decals for decals.
