alclad problem

i've been spraying alclad with a badger 200 gf, and the thing is it seems to have melted the teflon bush seal! i noticed it stripped old paint off the cup while i was using it, my problem is my other airbrush is an aztec 470, all plastic! has anyone sprayed alclad with an aztec, or will it melt the whole thing? also if the badger is ruined every time i use alclad is there somthing else i can use? (it certainly do'sent brush )

I might suggest picking up a paasche VL airbrush. Aside from a rubber gasket down in the air valve stem, there really isn't much in the way of non-metal to get damaged by laquers. I shoot laquers and hardware-store-grade laquer thinner through mine all the time, and I've never had a problem. Actually, it clean up way easier than acrylics.

on reflection, i think it might be the thinners i used to clean it, rather than the alclad itself, rather silly considering i've using it to try to melt plastic to use as a resin substitute! i'll check out the pashe(?) i've heard good things about them
