Is there any set of replacement tracks for the awful Academy kit ones?
The actual look like Leopard 1 tracks but I'm not 100% sure they are compatible.

I am reviving this thread just because I need your opinions.
After some searching I decided to use modified AS-90 tracks from Bronco for my K-9.
Their main advantages are:
- Correct guide teeth between the links
- The exterior of the track looks like the original with the exception of the indent in the middle of the shoes.
- It fits the kit sprockets.
The main disadvantages are:
- The inner surfaces of the links have to be filled so as the line marking the rubber shoe does not show
- Some detail is missing from the inner metal part of the links, but I cannot find a good close photo.
Does anyone have some good photos of the K9 tracks? Unfortunately I cannot find my kit tracks so as to compare them with the AS-90 bronco tracks.
I am also looking for the DEF detail set if it is stock in any European shops. I have only found it in US shops.

OK so the AS 90 tracks fit? But did anyone determine if the Leo 1 tracks also fit?

Which LEo 1 tracks? I think there is a version similar to the AS-90 tracks.OK so the AS 90 tracks fit? But did anyone determine if the Leo 1 tracks also fit?
Does anyone have the DEF T158 track that is for both the M1 and the K1? They look as if they can be used for the K9 too.

T158 tracks are way too wide for the K9 Howitzer. They are a similar design to T158, but much more narrow.

The tracks from this kit is a better choice, but you will have to change the guide teeth if you do mind...

Shapeways, but expensive:

Not sure if tracks are same as fitted to K1A1:

though these seem difficult to find.

You are absolutely right, I should have figured that out myself.

But I will have to buy the kit, whilst the Bronco track is much cheaper. But thanks for the suggestion.
Anyway, something I noticed that makes converting the Bronco AS-90 track even more time consuming. The end connectors need to be flipped, so that the bolt head is on the inner side of the track.
I will start work on some links and post my progress.

I have five sets of those tracks. The nice thing about them is that they come with two different types of guide teeth. So depending upon what you're using them for, you get an extra set every time.
