OK, I confess to being fairly jazzed about this release. Here is hoping that they do a decent job with it. . .

I'm jazzed about this too! And to think there was a torpedo version, so perhaps Dragon will do us a solid and make that version as well.

Considering that the DS tracks on my type 95 broke in several places after a little over 2 months (and they were painted with acrylics), I shudder to think what a set of white metal tracks for this thing would cost.....

I was going to scratchbuild this - it's all flat panels - but now I have one ordered. It's big and ugly but I like it.

Not my thing really (no turret), but nice to see something different, what a monster for a Japanese AFV.

DS tracks have me 'worried' but Tamiya are worse! Centaur tracks broke on me twice, and one of the tracks on my half-built LeClerc just came apart sitting there unpainted on the chassis...
The couple of DS tracks I have used are OK, and I've checked the ones I have still in the boxes and they are OK. (I've also seen some awfully molded ones in a Panzer III or IV box that I did NOT buy!) The thing that bothers me is having put in the time to make a nice model that one of THE most important parts of a tank might just fall off! Ok I am rambling here.
Hey! Nice to see Dragon doing more Japanese armor! I can get behind THAT at least
