I recently purchased a Tamiya kit, Panzerkampfwagen III Ausf. L and I noticed that the bottoms of the driver and loaders hatches were not detailed. This poses a problem if I want to add an interior kit because I would not be able to keep them open. I was wondering if anyone knows how to detail them yourself, ie. what they should look like and what pieces to use.
Thanks,
Andrew

Although this is just a guess, but I'd bet the Eduard PE set would detail out this area.

Hi Andrew the set by Eduard that Rob speaks of is # 35145.
...Also there is one by Aber - # 35038 (see below ):

I have not yet done a Pz.III, but I can advise you as with any armor model, that
you should find the best reference & photo's that
are available on the Pz.III ausf L, if you wanna
detail the tank according to accuracy. - It definitely help's and makes things
easier, although sometime's tedious, it is well worth the effort.
Both set's are in stock at Great Models: http://www.greatmodels.com/
BEST OF LUCK !

Try AFV Interiors, specifically the PzKpfw III Ausf J pages. Whilst the articles are for an Ausf J, the L is a modified J, so it should all still be relevent.

Welcome Oberst. I just finished the construction of a Pz III Ausf J using Aber's PE set, they have parts for detailing the interior of the hatches. Actually I rather prefer the hatches not detailed in the plastic kit, it saves a lot of time of sanding and cutting if you want to detail it.
