This is really really exceptional work. I love the multiple levels and angles. It adds a lot of interest immediately.I assume the bricks were foam and the foundation cork but what is the cobblestone made from ? Plaster?

You have correctly guessed everything - the stone blocks is made of plaster.

Thank you! Glad they liked it! But personally I do not like any of my work, everything seemed to me different in my head, but it turned out differently.

I think everyone has this problem, or at least I have it, but it's the fact that we never fully satisfied that it makes us improve...

Your painting is top notch.
Love the bold yet subdued color choice.
Nice Dio , and build.
Can't wait to see more.

Beautiful diorama! I love the building especially, may I ask the steps for building it, and what materials you used? Thank you!
Thanks for an assessment of my work!
With materials everything is simple:
1) Walls of the building are made of extruded polyfoam (is on sale in hardware stores and it is used as a heater) + a stopper (imitation of a stone on a building socle)
2) The well and stones for a pavement are cast from plaster. Stones for a pavement were cast by everyone separately and to stack, real. It seems to me it is so possible to receive more intersny relief. Where stones have sunk where on the contrary, stick out.
3) The roof is made of a wooden ruler + a tin from banks from beer.
4) The window is made of transparent plastic, the frame is made also of a wooden ruler.
5) the pipe is made of the case from a marker + sheet plastic.
It seems, all... if that that is unclear, ask - I will answer!

Thanks for an appreciation of my work Jeff! Actually I build several dioramas in parallel and all of them different in the concept and on technologies. There is a wish to try to make a lot of things and in different styles...

Soil, soil, foliage
Grass, grass, grass
Mate, can't imagine how you perform the hard work on them! You do an incredible touch and very nice proportion on placing and combining them in one piece. And... ouch! the detail of the moss... I should learn from you, man!
Can't wait to see your completed pics and so many thanks for the progress sharing!
Cheers,
Garry

Hello!
Not even a few years, and I finally finished the stand .. happy Not, well, what, 6 years, pretty quickly ...
From the work done: He threw the manhole into the mine with debris, added a little broken brick, the factory electrician spent even more wires (then cut them off for some reason ) and hung up some blue box, the pedantic Germans dug the fence posts. During this time, the building managed to decay a little and be covered with moss and green bloom, and the grass of new varieties has raised too. From somewhere puffed oak leaves ...
I haven’t hung a sign with the name yet, because there isn’t her nameplate, and the name too ...
A little bit later I will draw up the entire work of the video version and place it on my channel on YouTube.

Hello!
A new rubric dedicated to dioramas from the first video appeared on the channel. While the video is still in the old format, since the project began in 2013, the video building process was not yet recorded.
Happy viewing and happy holidays to you!

YA Zakonchil yeshche odin svoy dolgostroy 2012 goda vrode...
Opyt priobrel, vyvody sdelal, oshibki vrode by tozhe vizhu. Video kak vsegda na yutub kanale (tam bol'she interesnykh foto wink ) !
I finished another of my unfinished 2012 like ...
In general, in this diorama I emphasized the study of various technologies that I was interested in. According to the plot, the pretty drunken Germans drove from the mountain, when suddenly a tank rolled out from behind the corners .... biggrin
I gained experience, made conclusions, I seem to see mistakes too. Video as always on YouTube channel (there are more interesting wink photos)! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MhpWSoCWjTM

BTW. On my computer and iPad the photos of the original posting wouldn't resolve. They later photos did. I tried Windows/Chrome, Windows/Edge and iPad Safari.
