This thing was used to destroy tracks after a retreating army.

It'd be an awesome model.

Probably not the same machine, but this one is exposed in Belgrade military museum, and some guy was good enough to properly picture it on the following link>

The device you are referring to is the 'Scheinenwolf'. To my knowledge there are three options in 1/35 scale:
* AGV Models (kit ref.35029) website - www.agvmodels.com
* Baluard Models (kit ref.F35365) website - www.baluard.com
* Dnepromodel (kit ref.35107) website - www.dnepromodel.com

Not being a 35-scale modeller myself, I am not sure how good any of these kits are. As far as I am aware, they are all resin kits.

Hope this is of some use to you.

Dear all,

It's fantastic... I've never knew what this thing was called (hence could not google it); my guess was "track-destroying thingie".

And it turns out there are kits available.

Thanks again

Hi there! Actually the correct name of this device is Schienenwolf. I suppose it is a connected word (Schiene = track and Wolf comes maybe from the term Fleischwolf = meat grinder).

I had one of ADV one day and the quality was ok but sold it some years ago.

I'd love to see a kit of the M46 Rapid railway distructor, wonderfully absurd machine:
