Exactly right! They were hoping to build a perfect replica of a tiger, but they couldn't finish it in time so just placed a wooden frame over an IS2.

How about the repro of a Grant-lee, real T-34/76's, Matildas, Mk IV's among others. The film is a metaphor for the Russian view of German weapons among other views too much to discuss in this format.

At least it wasn't a M47. And the 'Tigers' from Kelly's Hero's looked better.

The proportions on the JS-2 Tiger was better than the Kelly's Heroes Tiger but it's the tank battle scenes that stand out in White Tiger. You really feel you're in the tank and I liked it a lot more than Fury.
And the interview with Hitler at the end as well as the surrender sequence were priceless pieces of irony.

I thought it was a pretty good movie. A "tank whisperer" of sorts
