Cool! And I was just thinking that I needed another set of pointing guys and there they are! Seriously, they are nice figurines! The U-Boot commander and sailer are particularly welcome!

Didn't U-boat officers routinely remove the stiffening frame from their peaked cap to get the 'crush' effect, though? The submarine officer looks as though his cap still has the stiffener in, which would put him in the minority.

Compare the cap on the figure against the cap worn by Kapitanleutnant Lehmann-Willenbrock (the second person from right, in rear) in this image, and compare it against the caps worn by (L to R) Kapitanleutnant Hans Stock, Oberleutnant (Ing.) Helmut Jurgens, and Kapitanleutnant Horst Höltring. This image shows Höltring and Stock coming ashore as Lehmann-Willenbrock watches; both pictures were taken during the return of U-604 (Höltring's command) and U-659 (Stock's command) from a patrol in West African waters in 1942. The miniature's cap looks too 'new' to have a proper crush on it.
