Recently, I want to purchase the Dragon 1/35 Shilka Anti Air tank.. Does it have a good fit? Rubber or indy tracks? If indy tracks, does the tracks fit well?
Thanks!
BTW, are there any in 1/72 scale?

I've got one, decent kit with the usualy DML single link tracks. I do not know if one is available in 1/72 scale, but I think there is.

Single link? A plastic version of the rubber tracks? Then I have to get one!

I am just finishing up on of these, and would recommend it to anyone interested. There are some questions about the accuracy of the kit, but when it's all said and done it looks like a Shilka. The fit is good, and the indy track links are nice.
And you really can't lose for fourteen bucks. I now have two more unbuilt ones in my collection.

Yes, verrrrrry nice Shilka Stuke! I love the paint job!
I built this a number of years ago, and the only thing that really bothered me is the lack of the 'plumbing' for the weapon. There should be caps there for the barrel muzzles that are operated by pulling on some sort of wire hookup from somewhere (internal?). Also they need to have the water or coolant lines installed. Both items can be very easily scratched and installed.
OOB, it's a beauty!

It's an ok 'early' DML kit and the only one out there in 1/35th.
The individual track links are nice and I had no troubles with mine.
The guns chould be plumbed, and I think the saw is molded on, or is that the BTR70..
I'll have to dig mine out, do the roadwheels have backsides? For some reason I thought they were blank on the back.. I could be mixing up my early DML stuff..

Thanks for the compliments guys. Just wanted to show it can made into an ok looking kit. And I shouldn't say I'm almost done, I've still got a lot of weathering to do.
As for the roadwheels, I can't really comment as I have no reference pics of that area. They are basically pretty plain back there, but you really can't see them.

Just about every time a model of the Zeus 25 shows up at a contest, it takes an award so DML did something right with this.

ok, here is my build
This is a Out of Box build. From what I know, the cooling tubes for the guns need to be added, the end caps (which keep out rainwater) are actually optional...they tended to get lost. Also, the rear wheels have no detail, the back of the radar unit is simplified, the saw is molded on, and finally, the fit is a little crazy on the front "fenders".
However, I think it is a very nice kit, the tracks are great, and it is impressive once built.

Howdy Jacques,
I'd say your Shilka looks nice as well, but I hesitate, because the turret looks like something ripped off a HEMTT GunTruck or some bloody thing! #:-) #:-)
Tread.
Still good to see 'it' again!

Hey, Stuke. I see that there are 2 versions of this from Dragon. The ZSU-23-4V1 and the ZSU-23-4. Which one is the better. Thanks.

I would say the kits share 98% of the same parts. There is just one single sprue difference between the two. Given that, I don't think it makes much of a difference which of the two you chose.
The one I have built is the 23-4 version, which includes markings for about five different vehicles including a Syrian and Iraqi vehicle. If I recall correctly, the -4V1 has more decals for Eastern Europeon vehicles. But someone may correct me.

the -4V1 was mainly exported by Russia and is the "older" model of the vehicle. the -4M kit is the most modern.
Basically it just involves new turret side-panels...
