Hi all. How do you clean the Gunze Mr. Surfacer 500 from an airbrush? Do you use thinner or isoprophyl alcohol?

Is it enamel/oil based? Then use a paint thinner.
Is it acrylic? Then use alcohol or water would do.

Your last resort would be a laquer thinner. Remember, like GI said, LAQUER eats everything!

I don't know if it is enamel or acrylic SR, that's why I asked the question. Anyway thanks for the reply.

Hi cardinal
I use Gunze Sanyo's Mr. Color Thinner 110. It works for me!
That would make it enamel/oil based.
Happy Modeling!

Thinking more of Lacquer thinner myself but I guess never tried the Mr Thinner stuff!!
good answer Tek2.
Will try it and see if can be used to thin it as mine is getting a little thick.

Should add that I do use an old bottle of Tamiya thin glue that I dip into the surfacer the brush that thins it a little to apply like to a spot that is hard to sand works pretty good for me!
