What do I use to make a 1/35th U.S. WWII ambulance truck? Not the jeep conversion. I would appreciate info on the vehicle, available P/E for it and reference photos. Thanks.

Hi Sealhead, if I remember correctly, Italeri did a ambulance-truck. It was based on the Beep, I think.
However I'm not sure if it's still in production, or even available in the shops.

Hope it helps, John.

I don't know what it is about the search part anymore, cause I used to type in what I wanted to find, and up it came, but now it just throws a bunch of stuff I never asked for, but any way, I just seen an artical where this guy was masking the cross on that ambulance you are talking about, and painting it, instead of decals, and he had just about a whole page on it, so if you can find it, I hope this helps Sealhead. Friend - which type of Ambulance?

The first three that come to mind:

Willys MB Jeep field expedient
Dodge WC KD (Knock-Down Body) Ambulance
Dodge WC Ambulance (the cool Italeri kit most are familiar with)

Bilek is currently boxing the old Peerless Max/Italeri ambulance, but as a signal corps vehicle.

go to the gallery here on armorama. Armor. Reference. Roo's truck archive, Dodge and then WC/VC series. there you will find pics od the WC54 and WC64 KD ambulances. Italeri did a WC54 and ADV/azimut do a KD WC64 conversion kit to go with the Dodge weapons carriers around. If you want more info after viewing the pics and deciding which one you want info on PM me with your questions

I have a spare WC-54 kit if interested. One is a Testors/Italeri the other the peerless Max version. Possible trade or sale if interested. The Peerless Max is a "rare" version that came with figures. Also have the ambulance jeep by Italrie, but that kit is still in production and readily availalbe
