Could anyone please tell me if I can use the tow cable ends and jack (amongst other things) on a Panther D?
TIA

Not really these are smaller tow cable ends more suited for the smaller tanks like the Panzer IV and III's ..Same thing goes for the Jacks ,but there are alot of tools you can use..

there are tons of aftermarket producers of cables and end pieces for German tow cables, enough to drive you nuts trying to figure out which ones are used for which vehicle. Take a little time to research if you are extremely concerned about absolute accuracy. If not, use what came with the kit, as it probably is pretty darned close if not totally correct.

If you don't like the towing cables with the Panther, cut off the plastic 'cable' and toss it - keep the end loops. Drill a hole of suitable size in the end of the towing loop. Go to your friendly neighbourhood dollar store and buy a roll of picture hanging wire - make sure it is the twisted multi-filament kind. It is very close to being the same dimension and appearance of the original. Cut off a similar sized length and glue the ends into the towing loops. The cable can now be bent, made to sag, or hung over various vehicle parts. A roll of this wire costs peanuts and there's enough for a couple of dozen AFV's.
