This is a build I started before Xmas last year. I thought I liked it. But as I have learned more and more from sites like this, I began seeing flaws. also knowing I would need a subject in order to try different ideas. It would soon be changed.

First I started my first attempt using an airbrush in 37 years to do shading.

Next was the silly putty way.

Then came the green.

Then the spraying of mud off the brush using the airbrush.

Then came hand painting some of the tan camo on. It is at this step I became unhappy with the model.

This is what I ended up with along with what I was trying to go for.

But then I started building another Abrams and during this build I decided the first one was going to change.

This is where they both are. The old one is going to end up like the one in the pic hopefully.

Hopefully I will have the finished by next week.

made a little progress over the night. I am working with two different Abrams from academy. both will end up in desert scheme but will still be different.

Managed to get the rear wheel cover cut off.

Some weathering done. But it had much more of it to go still.

One of the latest pics of the one that used to be green camo.

It still needs work on the rear wheel, tracks, antenna, clean up around the glass from the masking, etc.
