There are some interesting oversights included, such as the guy with the mg having no belted ammo, but mags on his chest; & the guy with the pistol drawn having 40mm grenades, and nothing to use them with.

These guys are very similar to liveresin in terms of detail, accuracy, and poses. I may have to invest in a few.

Same as Live Resin in terms of detail & accuracy? I'm not sure. They look a lot rougher and the raised skull emblems on the shoulders....what are they based on? Will be waiting for some actual reviews

I agree that from the pictures some details seem a bit rough, but for $8 each I can live with it...

Some figures look better than others, and some could have better proportions matching the torso with the legs and arms (yes, the CAD looks a bit rough). But since they're cheap, they might be worth the while.

If made as the CAD shows, and at the prices offered, then that is a generous amount of guns and gear.

The poses do tell a story, so that's an added plus.

Looking at the photos, I'm pretty sure most of the equipment and weapons on these figures are copies of Live Resin items.

I think some parts (or the master) are 3D printed and not sculpted, IMHO.

Wouldn't a particular weapon look the same no matter which manufacturer produces it in scale (even if some detail them better than others)?

Just because one manufacturers weapon or accessory looks like another's, why does that automatically mean that one copied the other? If they didn't look the same as the real thing, then we would criticize them for being incorrect, is that not so?

Of course, this seems to be the immediate assumption when a Chinese manufacturer releases something - the first reaction is almost always that their product is a copy of someone else's. This is a very generalized attitude towards China it would seem, and its getting a little old.

China has come a long way in recent years, and I think at least some of us would agree that a lot (if not most) of the latest innovations in the model industry have actually come from there, both in regards to choice of subject as well as molding and other manufacturing technology to provide the lever of detail we are spoiled with today.

Just look what Bronco, Takom, Meng, Rye Field, Voyager, Lion Roar, Trumpeter, Tiger Model etc have done. Yes, some of the very earliest Trumpeter models were poor copies of other kits, but that time is long gone now.

And no, I am not Chinese and don't have any connection to Chinese manufacturers - I just appreciate what they have done for the hobby.

Ok, a little off topic, but I guess there is no harm in a different point of view (at least I hope that's permitted).

I plan to purchase some of their sets, I particularly like the Chinese tank riders and soldiers from the WW2 era (I can't seem to recall seeing these released by Black Dog, Legend, Live Resin etc previously), and if the detailing is a little chunky on some I am sure that can be fixed with a little TLC.

Sven, I have seen vast majority of Live Resin releases, as well as many from Airborne Miniatures and Legend Productions. I reviewed and built these figures and weapon systems for this website.

I know exactly which sets are copied by Yu Fan, and it is very easy to prove. For example... take a look at the Thales antenna, it is a direct copy from Live Resin. Yu Fan didn't even bother to remove the resin carrier stubs from the antenna loop:

So, it is not about China, it is about this particular manufacturer.

Frank, the link is no longer good as the figures have been taken down. If you had read any of the posts above you would know that the figures and accessories may be direct copies of offerings by Live Resin and Black Dog. This was caught as soon as pictures were posted and the website acted quickly to stop selling the figures.

If Yu Fan make these assembled figures, you can make it with the original parts I think. So if you dream from them,take the plunge, purchase the originals parts at the original quality, and make them !
