Hi all
I started new Revosys kit. I'm going to paint this vehicle with DAK sand colour but now I need to assembly this beauty together.

Looks good!
Can you answer one question. From the photos of built-up models on the Rye Field page, I got the impression that the side door in the hull would collide with the tracks.
On your model I don't see that problem happening. But you didn't open the door very far.
Can you tell us about this?
David

Yes of course, in my kit the side doors works without this issue. Maybe the difference is because that the instructions shows that the arm which hold the door and let it open and close is just pushed between two pins. And when I did the same the clearance was too big and the arm with the door touched the tracks so I glued the arm in the right position and now everything is fine.
My progress with the build
Interior is ready for the painting:
I like the details on the radio rack.

Are you not going to add any scratch built details?

David, I thought about build oob and to be honest I'm not an expert in this vehicle. Do you know what details should be added to improve the interior? Maybe I will try to add something here and there.
Brent, thank you

Well, as a "paper panzer" it's speculative, but the Germans did include a certain set of standard equipment in all of their tanks and this one would hardly have been different.
I'm thinking of gas mask holders, breathing tube holders, spare periscopes and vision blocks, the flare gun, accessory boxes for the MGs, water bottles, flare ammunition, and so on. The kit seems to provide only a few headphone boxes and some oversized ammunition bags.
There's also no S-mine controller in the kit.
I'd say the most useful thing to add would be wiring. For example, those transformers on top of the radio don't have cables connected to them.

This kit looks really nice. I want it. Looks like one would have to buy 2 kits to build both versions that are possible. One with the L70 75MM & another for the L56 88MM variant.

Very nice build!
I'm waiting for the Bergepanzer conversion from Kraut Kits to be available to order.
Cheers,
Christophe

I think all gun configurations are supposed to be the 7.5/5.5 cm waffe 0725, in either appearance as in the photo of a Pz4 seen here, or other Doyle drawings.

Thank you for all informations, really interesting. I will try do add the missing parts. Do you have any scheme or picture where all this mentioned parts are placed in the hull and how exactly they should look? I found a few pictures of Tiger interior but I completly don't know where the s-mine controler is.

The kit does not contain any 88mm gun. And rightly so, because that gun did not fit this turret or chassis.
The kit seems to provide ordinary and tapered-bore 75mm guns. It's not clear, though, because Revosys' instructions don't tell you. They mention B, C, D and F "types" for the tank but they don't explain why they invented these designations.

This is a "paper panzer" and we don't know where the items would have been exactly. We only know, from looking in other Panzers, that they were mostly put in the turret for quick access.
You asked about the Tiger E. Well, over the course of the Tiger E production, these items in the turret were all moved around, no less than 4 times. At one stage the gunner could not reach his headphone box and he had to ask the loader to pass his headphones to him! So, really, you would be free to place the items in logical and accessible places.

There is not a single book or reference that you can buy to tell you where the S-mine controller is in a Tiger. I know because I've been looking in them for 25 years.
Fortunately we figured it out a few weeks ago:

Really nice looking build. I just picked this kit up on eBay so I'll be following your build with interest. By the way, how many links did you use to make the track runs?
Cheers
