Hi all, looking for any advice or suggestions as how best to make a scale lanyard attached to a revolver (the type that goes around the neck). Currently putting together one of the superb Tommys War figures and need some advice!

Fine copper wire.

Found inside a common electric cord from any appliance.

Do the same.
Also use it for headphone wires.

Using copper wire is not a bad idea because you can shape the lanyard, but much more difficult to make the knots - thread is easier to tie. Maybe make the lanyard from wire and the knots from thread.
