Hi guys. Has anyone built the Italeri DUKW kit and used the Verlinden update set? If so any hints, piccies etc?

:-)

I had problems with the engine fit. When placed in the hull, it caused the front radiator wall to sit about 1/8th inch too high. Sanded the engine tray down til paper thin and still had to notch out the sides to make it fit. Otherwise, all else seems to be okay. It's a build in progress as we speak. #:-)

Haven't built it yet, but have all items to do so. I would love to hear about problems encountered with the Verlinden set. Bought it maily to add 50 cal and rear canvas frame stuff

Blaster, check out one other thing. The rear surface plate, while well detailed on the outside, is completely smooth on the inside. If you mount it without a canvass cover, you'll have to detail the inside as well. Just another little piece of cake, right?

Hi guys, thanks for the advice. Anyone else got any details or piccies? As and when I have time to build it, I'll publish pictures myself. I want to get it done for the Overlord campaign.
