...and other details, too.
I mail ordered some books, but I don't know if any will have detail pics of the dual rear wire wheels from the 1914 pattern car.

FWIW- I'm scratchbuilding one from the article in the September 1989 Fine Scale Modeler.

Thank you. Lee

Oh yeah, the other details would be dimensions of the Vickers machine gun.

Are you aware there are two kits available in 1/35 scale? --Resicast and Roden both offer the 1914 pattern. There's also a Scale-Link 1914 kit in 1/32 scale, last time I looked it was still available. AFV magazine had an article on the Resicast kit a couple of years ago.

Yes. The magazine article used a 1/24 Airfix 4.5 liter "Blower" Bentley as a chassis donor. I found its big brother on Craigslist, so I'm trying it in 1/12.

The turret picture was taken yesterday. It has since been cleaned up a bit, and got a coat of primer in prep for some glazing putty. It has a few nicks where the slitting saw arbor from my Sherline mill got too close. It is made of several layers of Evergreen styrene laminated around a 3" PVC pipe coupling. It looked like a section of pipe, then I used the mill to cut the bevels.

Ok then! 1/12 will give you quite a model-- just be aware that the magazine article is a little incorrect in that that's the 1920 version of the RR, with the solid disk wheels. The 1914 pattern had wire wheels, but having built the 1/12 Bentley myself, it comes with a nice set of wire wheels as I recall (but they may be the wrong pattern). Looks like an interesting project.

Thanks for the help, guys. That WarWheels link was awesome. I have 3 books on order, but the reference section showed another source to track down; that August 2012 magazine about military vehicles.

Chinook-
I saw that 1/12 Vickers on Shapeways. I may order it, but I would like to scratch build as much of this as possible. I think the big part of that would be the number of grooves in the water jacket...but I also realize that is going a little crazy with detail, and could lead to a stalled project.

Thanks again. Lee
