Hey guys,
I'm currently considering buying Zvezda's 1/35 Panther ausf D. Been trying to get more info about it - as far as I can tell it is a better effort than their previous Tiger. As I have heard mixed reviews about the company, I was wondering if anyone else here has had experience building the kit? I'm looking at a DML Panther ausf G (late) priced at 40 USD and a Tamiya ausf G late for 30 USD - however, both of them are later variants. I was hoping to do a Panther for Kursk. I was wondering if the Zvezda Panther is of decent quality and worth the price point. Thanks!

Supposedly it's not a bad kit, and has features of early D's not found in other kits.
But, it has no PE screens and apparently the turret is a bit undersized and is noticeable next to another brand Panther.
So, other than that...

I have just start this kit. By the way, their Tiger I is also a nice kit.
The Panther D comes with links and lenght tracks fine detailed. In comparison to other Panther D turrets I will not state that it is to small. Detail is overall nice. I just bought via Eduard the PE skrins and skirts and also an early L/70 barrel.
The Zvezda kit is on sell under the Academy lable, too.

I bought a Zvezda Panther kit when it was released and was so impressed by it that I ordered a second one. And I have at least 8 Dragon Panthers in the stash.

I would suggest the new Tamiya Panther D. I dont have the Zvezda one, but Tamiya should be better, fits perfect... and if you were here yon can find it for just 10 to 15 Euros more. For my taste the higher expense is worth, but everyone has his own criteria.
