Hello all, I just saw that Sprue Bros. has the new Dragon M67A2 in stock. I was wondering if anyone has bought one or if there are any in box reviews. I see a couple of minor things in the ad pics that would need to be changed to do a Nam tank, just from my research. Any way, thanks , Wayne

Looking at the CAD and then the instructions and actual parts, the CAD has the wrong fenders but the kit has the right ones in the box. But they still haven't removed that lip from the rear doors.
I would also have preferred a base M48A2 hull with only three return rollers, but that's me.

Every photo I have found of the M67A2 (including the well known Hue overhead pic) shows the M67A2 with a different type of gunner's sight. All of the pics I can find show a periscope similar (or the same?) as the periscope on the CC's cupola. Yet the CAD photos and instructions of DML's kit seem to show a "standard" M48 gunner's periscope.
Hunnicutt's book (pg. 250) says the M67 gunner used a T39 unity periscope which was later standardized as the M21 periscope sight. But one of the illustrations seems to show a "standard" GPS cover. The M67A1 was fitted with the XM30 periscope and his book has a detailed illustration of it on pg. 253. Finally he says that the M67 tanks were modified into M67A2 and the turrets were brought up to M67A1 standard. The two illustrations show this smaller gunner's periscope.
So...what is with the "wrong" gunner's sight on DML's model?

Because Dragon got it wrong. This surprises you?
Every picture I've seen and the surviving example show the periscope mount not the gunner's doghouse.
