Hi everyone,
I was wondering if any of you had problems with Trumpeter plastic breaking when it was in contact with solvents like alcool, mineral spirits and oderless turpentime.
Is trumpeter plastique like Bandai plastic ?
Thanks

white spirit can melt just about any plastic, the problem is that many items have several different names depending on which country you are in.

Yes white spirit will also get in joins and breakdown the glue joints if you are not careful. Especially painful when clamps were required to keep halves together to start off with.
Models are made of chemical base plastics and most mineral based solvents will react to various degrees.
Always prime or seal your model before painting - especially if your are planning on using in vogue techniques using oil paints to fade and weather.

I have had problems with White [Mineral] Spirits making the plastic brittle on Miniart, RPM and Academy kits.
