I'm starting a new project (I hope it will be good enough to be posted on this wonderful web page), but i'm facing a little problem...
I purchased a SAS Jeep Tamiya model and a PE upgrade set by Eduard.
I noticed that Eduard didn't replaced the "anti skid plates" (Tamiya plates are ugly!)
I know Verlinded did it in his old set, but it's not easy to find it....
any advice on how to replace stock parts?
Anyone having Verlinden set and willing to sell it for a decent price? (I will use Paypal for payment)
let me know!!!

not sure if royal models done a set or VLS i've seen a review of them about 2 years ago,
failing that why not thin the kit ones down at the back and drill the holes out or make some from tin foil from fast food cartoons

thnx for your advice...
problems are:
I'm not an expert scratchbuilder
and
the stock one are 2 plates moulded together...impossible to thin down I think....
I would use plastic card and make holes in it, but these plates are sligthly rounded and I don't know ho to do it with plastic card
:-)

you could try the foil way split them in two then cut the foil and bend it to shape around the plate or try asking on the wants page for the plates as these were moulded individual on the LRDG chevy by tamiya

Are what you are calling skidplates the metal panels with the holes a few feet long about the width of a tire you that you put under the tires to get unstuck?

Hi Muca. Mr. Roo means to send him a private message with your home postal address. He will post you a set of the PSP plates by normal post/mail. Because of the speed now of e-mail, nornal mail through the letterbox is called snal-mail as its so slow.
Below everybodys messages there is a small box with pm inside it. PM stands for private message. When you send a private message to somebody, only they can see it.
Its that damned aussie accent maybe?? #:-)

Hi Muca,
I'm currently doing a conversion of the new Tamiya Jeep to a SAS jeep too. I'm using the Legends SAS conversion set and it has (2?) very nicely detailed PSP plates in it, made of resin. Here's a link to this set at Squadron (just for you to see it):
http://www.squadron.com/ItemDetails.asp?item=LF1017
It's a pretty nice set abut I'll be replacing some parts with pieces from my spares box, just to make it my own .
Hope this helps,
Craig
