Hi.. progress pics.. No part of it is completely done.. lots of
gap filling, detailing, and above all weathering to be completed,
I've found a process for making a parachute (in original photo)
and hope to get it close to correct eventually..The tank will be
buttoned up.. The german atop will be manning the MG- need
input on that positioning.. is it realistic in the heat of battle?
There are 3 more pics in my gallery of alternate views of the
dio. Critique always welcome.. seeya Chris

Kali:
Looks like you're making good progress.
On the Mg'er, I'd almost like to see a different figure used there, just becuase that guy is so old I don't think it will do justice to the work you have already done.
I think DML eitgher has coming out, or it is out, a set of figures for the SDKFZ seriese that features a standing solider firing an MG. It should work on your Stug. the only question is.... can you get the figures in time?
Just my 2 cents.

Porkchop.. yeah its an old figure.. ive got a ton of them around.. maybe i can
doll him up with a poncho or something .. but may just leave him out
completely.. I read your article on painting the smock so i ordered those Brit
paras from Warriors. I lost the technique a bit on the yellow pattern.. should
have made it more square so the drybrushing blended better.. but overall
i think they came out pretty good for a first time.. Hope others are reading
the article- very helpful.. seeya chris

Nice work so far. It's coming along really well.
I could take or leave the MG'er I can't absolutely confirm the guy on top during battle. However I have read accounts of German TC's going into battle heads up and exposed. It's easier to see and assess the situation quicker. I do like the idea of a German figure in the diorama. If you have a guy hunched over he could be walking along next to the tank on its left side (as an option).

Couple of things you probably see, I'll toss'em out to you just in case. The brick wall on the left of the image in the post is very red and clean, don't forget to pastel it. I would position the tank a bit farther from the wall

Kancali: i like the concept and work so far., particularly the location and posture of the British paras. Could you explain some your construction techniques for the building, walls, etc.? Are any of them your products? Also, Warriors makes a Stug figure set (35068) that has a crew figure firing the MG standing in the turret.

KBM.. the house is scratchbuilt mainly out of foamboard and some sculpey.
The shingle roofing is one of my products which will be released in a matter of
days along with claypipe style roofing. The rubbled wall set is set for release
later in the month. Im up against the campaign clock so will prob hold off on
the warrior set you mentioned, but thanks for the tip.. i may grab them later and
add them in.. I really like the detail on these warrior castings.
I have done two dark washes on the 'bright' red wall and its still the same..
it wont go away!! frankly its starting to alarm me and i've concluded it is in
fact an evil color and will be repainting it..
Thanks for the tips.. seeya Chris
