Primer, base coat, and top coat all sprayed on. Ready to paint the white turret stripe on my IS-2. Once I get it masked off, debating one airbrushing it or just brush painting. I know the real ones were brushed, quite sloppy work too.

Hi, I choose brush for my T-34/85 for the upper and bottom borders, so it's looks hand painted. But the main white band was done with the airbrush. Just to save some time. Add some paint spills down too.

Another option is to use make-up sponges: tear them in half to give them a rough surface. Mask off your line with tape and stipple the paint. Be sure to be uneven to simulate wear and tear.
