G'Day Folks,
My next project will be the above mentioned kit. While I haven't decided yet which version I'll build, I'm leaning towards the Argentinian version right now. I plan to place the model on a small diorama base with a couple of British and/or Argentinian soldiers. I would appreciate any kind of assistance, especially concerning the camouflage. If you have any good quality pictures (other than the ones that can be easily googled), feel free to share.
TIA,
Israel

The camo on this one :
looks to be similar to the one used on the Bovington museum (ex Argentinean Army) one :

Scorpion and Scimitar CVR(T)'s - Scorpion Miniature Models do excellent set(s) to convert the AFV Club CVR(T) into Falklands versions. Plus CVR(T) Samson and Combat Engineer Tractor, Centurion BARV, BV202 and Snocats, Series 3 Landrovers, Bedford trucks, Eager Beaver, Michigan and Allis Chalmers wheeled tractors.
Though doesn't appear that although deployed by the Argentinians the AML-90's ever saw any action in the Falklands.

If you wish to replace the 'chunky' sand channel in either of the Takom kits, there are 2 available PE alternatives: Resicast's PE set 35-2345, and Accurate Armor's PE set ACA-D11. Both sets come with multiple channels and brackets. I have both sets, and both are an alternative to the kit provided channel. The AA set is spot on to the AML 60/90 channels, and have correct hole placement. In the Resicast set, you might have to drill in extra hole or two: but no big deal here. I'll be using both sets without reservation. Additionally, there are plenty of photos out there that show variations/techniques to attaching the channels to the vehicles as well.

Looks much better under the natural sunlight. Nice progress.
I am doIng a AML 60 at the moment and I had to do some head scratching to get the wheel attachment points right. The rear more so than the front ones. U seem to have got it spot on.

Nice paint job Israel. But you should paint the cylinder (with the holes) around the coax MG. It is part of the turret not the MG itself.

Thanks for pointing that out Olivier, I'll correct it.

On the painting instructions of the Argentine version the steel helmet attached to the left of the turret is painted under the camo. Could that be correct?
