This poor guy just lost his and his buddies' pea soup and bread ration and will drop his rifle in the mud because his boot got sucked off by the bottomless Ukrainian mud.
Something like this happened to me at Grafenwehr back in the day but I only lost my mud boot. Graf mud is awful.
I am getting better at rolling the putty thinner to make clothing and I love those LiveResin helmets a lot.
Thanks for looking everyone,
J

Nice action shot. Mud looks to be a bit dry, doesn't seem to have that wet soupy look. Then again you may not be finished.

Hi Jerry....
This looks great...., such a simple situation fantastically executed!! The animation as mentioned is excellent, you feel after every photo he should be getting lower & lower... The detail & painting is superb too...well done!
Simon.

It's slapstick. Geniously executed.

OK buddy,
You get what you ask for ! I didn't take many pics but it does show how thin I rolled the putty. I had to make the coat in three separate applications. Letting the previous ones dry first. I worked from front to back.
The fig was a Dragon fig wearing a greatcoat but I made a new coat from the belt down. The breadbag was putty with some PE D rings, etc. The head was Hornet with putty hair and helmet was LiveResin with the associated insert as well. The messkits( with wire handles added ) and bayonet were Dragon GenII with putty "pea soup" while the loaves of Kommisbrot were putty.
As always, happy to answer any questions.

He Jerry, another great piece and great tips. Isn't it time to create your own website with all your work and the information you give us about "how it's made". Would be great since all your beauty's are scattered all over this forum. Btw, what putty do you use?
