I am aware of the old Tamiya kit and also Italerei(I think) and I have the excellent AFV kit right now. There was also a Revell version, which I seem to have lost. Anyone know who has any one of these kits ? Sprubros is all out of any version.

The Italeri kit dates from 1975 or so, and had generally finer detail than Tamiya's kit from the same period, but the wheels had one smooth rubber tread, lacking the distinctive grooves that divided the tire into thirds. One could try to scribe them into place, or add three strips of thin styrene to create the tread, or just cludge it up with mud. Revell Germany also released this kit. Tamiya's kit had separate outer tire sections that were added individually, so the completed wheel had the three-section tread. Tamiya depicted the stamped, solid wheel, while Italeri offered the open-spoke version. Either was correct.
Tamiya's figures were good for the 1970's, though a bit short (about 5'6" or 5'7", in scale). Italeri's crew looked like ghastly little trolls, and were utterly unusable.
The AFV Club effort is far better, and Dragon's current version is also well-done (though the first issue of the kit had trails the wrong length--Dragon immediately fixed this, so current boxings should be fine).
