So... I'm getting some ideas together on my first attempt at a conversion, a very minor one honestly, but still... First steps and all.
I was wondering if anyone on this forum knows exactly what the Chinese started with on their T-34-85s... I cant find any concrete information on how domestic T-34s differed from Soviet built ones (Other than the searchlight and hatch differences on later models), or what factories built the ones given/sold to them.
If anyone atleast has any good reference pictures of a 58-I or II, I could work from there, but I havent had much luck finding any.
And is there a single postwar T-34-85 kit? Or an ideal kit to 'start' from.
... Also, what discussion group is this even supposed to be in?

Hi;

Well you are in the rite Forum; Altho for A Chinese T-34/85 there is little if any information. other than what there is, will most likely be on the Korean Conflict. All T-34/85s would have come out of the Soviet Union or one of the Warsaw Pact partners. There are A few choices in the way of kit's ! Tamiya, Dragon, and A few others are available.

GOOD LUCK; MIKE.

If you're on Facebook there's a dedicated T34 page, they have all the minutiae you'll need.

I've admittably never had a Facebook account, due to numerous reasons (All are conveniance related, really)
But I've got a few family members who do, So I'll try checking that later, after asking them.
Thanks

Yeah, I've only found 2 decent pictures of Chinese 58's on display. But I cant seem to find any kits that match the turret version, So I decided to skip figuring that out... At worst, maybe itd be easy enough to scratchbuild the different welds?
Thanks though.
