I read years ago that only Italeri kits of the M60 series tanks are any good. Anybody have more info?

Not bad, but surpassed by the AFV Club kit, see this post for more https://armorama.kitmaker.net/forums/259992&page=1

Hands down, AFV club is the best series if you want an M60A1-A3. By the way, only Dragon makes a straight M60 slick-- and I think the jury is still out on that kit. I crewed an M60A1, and can say the AFV club kit is very, very good, far better than Italeri, Tamiya, or Dragon. The only real issue I see with the AFV kit is the armor texture on the front hull and turret is a bit overdone, but it can be easily removed.

I second Russ. I crewed M60A1s and A3s AFV best hands down.
