Planning on building the AMX-13 from Takom since it has the Dutch version.
I was a tankgunner on it in 1979....
Planning on using some aftermarket stuff and the right tracks, with rubber.
Not sure if this is in the box but Takom made AMX tracks with rubber for the Tamiya and Heller kit but.....does it fit the Takomkit too?

I remember the dutch version had three smoke granate launchers on each side and a big searchlight on the right side (not sure it was a searchlight but it was a large "box" on the side of the turret ) Don't think there's any aftermarket for that..
Here's the link to a picture.

If you plan on posting your build, I will be following. I have the Takom AMX-13/75 which I was planning on doing in IDF livery. Since you worked on the real thing I would be interested in your comments on the kit's accuracy or the lack thereof. I do have one question on your comment not knowing what the box is for on your tank, If I was on it I would of asked first off 'Hey what's in the box ??'. But then again I served on the USS Chicago CG-11 at the same time you were on the tank so I must be careful if anyone builds the Monogram or Cyper-Hobby CG-11 kits and they ask me 'hey what does that box do ?', I might not be able to answer . There were a lot of boxes on that boat.

I, unfortunately, don't have an answer about Takom's AM tracks. My kit came with the 'not' rubber padded tracks. Maybe your version, it will be included.

Cheers

Might take a while since there is a lot on the workbench.
As for the box...I'm sure I have known what was in it but I was for at least 13 of the 14 months and it's almost 40 years ago...
