Friends,

Finally I got to the stage that I could start to paint my figures. I started with the figure that has to depict General Urquhart. I decided not to do the figures in oils, like I used to do with my previous figures, but to try to paint them with acrylics in stead. Considering this is only my fourth serious figure attempt and the first in acrylics, I must say that I'm very pleased with the results so far. I still have a lot, an awful lot, to learn, but it's a start....a happy start.

The face isn't done yet. I still have to wash most parts of it in order to blend the different shades and I also have to correct some details here and there, but the start is there. In case you're wondering about the shiny moustache, that's because it was still wet when I took the picture.

Ola Danny,
Excellent. Tell us how you did this like clors and techniques.
I'm planning to start to paint mine tomorrow and I'm scared!!
Thumbs up for this one though.

Sweet figure Danny. Is that a conversion or is that a figure made by someone (company)?

Don´t be too modest danny. this looks great. Apart from the whiteness on the upper cheeks and chin the other detail looks great already. I like the subtle blending so far. Should be stunning when finished! For a fourth try and first with acrylics ..... stick at it .... you´re on the up!

Wow, very well done. I like it. The light in the first photo shows the highlight on the moustache a bit bright. That's just the photo though, the others are great.

just wonderful, Danny. Your painting skills have come a long way and passed by most of us in a short time.
Beautiful paint job.
