I wonder if there is a winner between the releases of the M60A2 STARSHIP from AFVCLUB (#35230), DRAGON (#3562) and ACADEMY (#13296)? Which of them would you suggest? Also what is the difference between the new release of AFVCLUB (#35238) M60A2 early version (http://www.luckymodel.com/scale.aspx?item_no=AF%2035238) and the first release of M60A2 STARSHIP (http://www.luckymodel.com/scale.aspx?item_no=AF%2035230)?

I think AFV Club wins hands-down. Academy used their ancient Tamiya-clone hull, and missed a few obvious details on their otherwise-nice turret, while DML botched their hull with a shortened nose, and their turret has some issues.
Not sure about the two AFV Club releases and why they are different...

AFV club with some of their aftermarket tracks beat the competition.
I went for the Academy kit along with AFV club tracks and the DEF upgrade-detail set.
Dragon kit is pure dissapointment.

The tracks and gun tube are different, as a minimum.

I think AFV club included some very nice belt tracks considering the M60A2 had no sag... Oh well.

Indeed, the belt tracks are nice... I am just addicted to plastic link tracks. AFV and Bronco ones

The difference between the two kits are air cleaners (side versus top loading), gun tube with bore evacuator, and tracks. The "early version" kit will have the T142 "hex' track. (at least according to the box art)
Funny thing is the early version kit appears to have later markings. The overall forest green with sand backed bumper codes came after the initial use of MERDC camouflage in some units.
