I was hoping someone could point me to a website or directory of some type that might have a good breakdown on some of the communication gear that might be used by modern US Special Forces. My idea is that I wanted to add some radio and communication gear to the 1/24 Aoshima Hilux Pickup. I'm wanting to build a SF version of this truck and thought it needs some communication gear.
I'm having zero luck in finding and identifying the type of communication gear that SF units might use while operating in a deeply embedded environment. Any help with locating any info would be very welcome.
thanks,
Jim

The U.S. Army Special Operations Command has selected the AN/PRC-343 personal role radio (PRR) as the soldier's radio for the 75th Ranger Regiment. Selex Communications, a part of the Finmeccanica group of defense companies, manufactures the PRR, which is already in use in 29 countries as the tactical radio for intra-squad communications

Hi Jim,
I built Meng's 1/35 SF pickup Hilux some time ago and added comm. device in it. Reference photo shows the modified dashboard and I think a scratchbuilt PRC-119 can be used for 1/24 scale.
best regards
Engin

.... as well as for the 1st Special Forces Command which is what I think you are asking about.
The 'prick'-112 (AN/PRC-112) is usually carried as a backup/emergency radio.
