Hi Guys,
Just got myself the Trumpy BMP-2D IFV, love the kit but hate the tracks!!
Not sure why after Indy links in the BMP 1 they did $h1te rubber bands.
So
A) Can the tracks out of a BMP 1 be used on a BMP 2
B) Can the rear compartment interior parts in the BMP 2 be used on the inside of a BMP 1??
If not which are the best replacement tracks Fruils or Masterclub?
Cheers Mike

Hi Mike
Both tracks look very similar but the end connectors on the BMP-1 tracks have protruding nuts, contrary to the BMP-2 tracks ones.
BMP-1 :
BMP-2 :
So I guess you could swap them, but you would have to swap the sprockets as well (... or sand the protruding nut on each BMP-1 track link )...

Not all the BMP-2s got the new style sprocket.
I can't comment on the Friul tracks. The MasterClub ones are very nice but quite a pain to assemble. They come with slightly angled connectors to better fit the sprockets (the late type are issued in the set) and idlers.

Hello Oliver,
Thank you very much for the reply & information I will keep that in mind.
I had hoped maybe the trumpy 1 tracks could just be used minus the nits in them?? 😞🤐

Talking about the BMP-1 interior, I guess you could find a good walkaround online (like this one ) and see if you can find some matching BMP-2 parts, keeping in mind that the BMP-2 troop compartment is comparatively smaller...

Yes, BMP-1 and -2 tracks are interchangeable regardless of the small details EXCEPT for the sprocket - the BMP-2 with the "solid" sprocket cannot use the tracks with the raised nuts.
