I have found a local source for airbrushes. We have an asian business area where I live. A few years back I was just browsing through the stores and at a wholesale beauty supply that delt in a lot of nail art/polish I found a section of airbrushes. I saw an Iwata HP-B for 75$ and scooped it up. Yesterday I stopped by again and found an Iwata HP-A (not the plus). It was missing the handle and I haggled it down to 40$. A handle is 27$ so for 67$ I have a new HP-A! You might try looking around your town for an older nail art supply place.

Good tip, but be a little careful as there are a number of knock-offs of Iwata brushes coming form Asia, counterfeits, actually as they are marked as Iwata and are not. Not saying don't buy, just be as aware as possible that these things are being counterfeited in some places.
