Gentlemen !
Maybe some of you are not in need of following parts from your AFV Club M60A3 kit. The Hoffman-devise and the "Whoppi"-light is what I desire as show in pic.
I am willing to pay including all expenses ... just let me know if one of you can spare these parts.
Thankx & Cheers
Christopher

That's not a "whoopie" light but a "MILES" light-flashes for a near miss or constantly flashes if you vehicle is killed.

Well that's what we called them to my recollection ... in use on road marches/movements especially on the Autobahn and German highways (Bundesstrassen)... and yes they were also intended for "MILES" but not exclusively, since not all "off road" activities were conducted with "Miles".

RAWLS= Rotating Amber Warning Light System. Not the CVKI(Combat Vehicle Kill Indicator).
AR 385-55
See pages 4-5
http://cdm16635.contentdm.oclc.org/cdm/pageflip/collection/p16635coll11/id/1528/type/singleitem/pftype/pdf
I have seen RAWL for HO scale locomotives used on 1/35 AFVs.

Misunderstanding .... not for the M60 ... they were on the rear fenders.

Yes Chris, that device on the turret rear is what I was referring to. Do the Main guns have to be bound for road movement too?

In Germany for rail transport this was mandatory on roads not ... for the US at least.
Like if you unloaded in Parsberg to drive the few klicks to Hohenfels you normaly left the gun "fixated" over the rear (see vid)
Returning for rail transport you would arrive the same way ... the foto would indicate movement from or to a train station.

The Germans have a very strick traffic laws applying to at vehicles ... even tanks.
That's why all BW AFVs must have side mirror's ... just like the cars ... their Leopard 2A6 have to travel with their guns lock on public roads because of their length plus the reflective cover.
Cheers
