Does anyone know where I could get ahold of a good 1/72 U.S. Army Truck / Halftrack driver? I need one for a diorama, but I can't find any good drivers.

You may have to go "Frankenstein". Use any generic lower torso (waist down) figure, German, Russian, etc., and use a suitable upper GI torso.

Just remembered; Hat makes a selection of soft plastic figures. They have a set of US tank riders https://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/ODk1WDY0OA==/z/iSIAAOSwz71ZXC7D/$_58.JPG Not the worst figures on the market, but they are soft plastic. Some work will be needed, but at least they are seated.

Plastic Soldier Company (psc) includes seated driver figures in their halftrack kits. Older Roco figures were overscale for HO and would work. Most other older figures like Hasegawa or Airfix are crude but with new heads and a decent paint job look reasonable.

Take a look at Milicast. They do both a half track crew and a multipose set of seated figures.
