I am thinking of using Mccormick seasoning Oregano leaves for my diorama.is there any side effect such smell or attracting ant?

I have used Oregano in the dim, distant past. I would give it a quick shot of color from the airbrush and then attach with a spray adhesive which I'm guessing kept many smaller critters from getting to curious. I definitely wouldn't spray them with sugar water!!

It will have the same smell as you have in the package. I have used dried parsley leaves as foliage in the past, suitably painted to give it a live tree look.

No problem with 'critters', but I did once have a map glued to the top of a vehicle in a dio, which was in a shoe box for storage. Some time later I discovered a cockroach got in and ate it, except for the 4 corners where it was glued down.... it was his last supper, the dried up roach was also in the box.

it mean that i may have socked them in warm water first.let it dry it order to get rid of the smell.
