Well done model all around!
Taeuss: Maybe Girls und Panzer is not your cup of tea or mine, but it uses the kits of historic subjects we do like, making them more profitable, and gets more people into the hobby. I'd call that a win-win.

I love it. Good to see one of these on this site. Might get the old fuddie-duddies to open up their minds a little. Cue "Katyusha" as the Pravda tanks roll.

Being a fan of the anime have me an excuse to pick up extra kits if the vehicles in the show and movies.

I like the fact that Nona is the character chosen for the kit. She is the Pravda schools steadying influence.

While I've never seen the show, some of the vehicles do look cool and add a splash of colour to the display case. here's a pic of my stug.

Just watch the freaking show. You'll even learn the Worm formula for range estimation.

Hallo folks,

thank you all for your appreciating words.

Prior I did the same mistake and judged about "Girls und Panzer" by its title and concept only.

But when I have watched the series I was being convinced from the start. It's a terrific anime.

One of the assets of "GuP" is its refering to the real City of Oarai in Japan. (You will spot there the StuG III of Ian's nice model, either.)

"ooo...kay... "

I suppose Saunder's captain would roll on floor laughing (again).

For those one who's familar with the German language here's a recently uploaded build report of this T-34.

Thank you again.

Girls und Panzer kits are the biggest sellers in Japan after Gundam.

The recent movie was the fourth largest grossing movie in Japan in its release.

Japanese model companies including Tamiya focus on the home market with the rest of the world as an afterthought.

A much sought after item (A41 Centurion) will finally appear in plastic because of Girls und Panzer. The Fine Mold Type 89 was finally released in one box and in another variant thanks to Girls und Panzer.

Exactly Stephen.

"Girls und Panzer" is most underestimated beyond Japan.

To give an idea what's ascending there look at this video of a "Girls und Panzer" concert in 2015.
