Can't wait for that release. The add-on armor has always peaked my interest.

Any idea whose parts are in the box or us it all new?

Let's see an M48H is an M60 hull with a M48A5 turret so ? Is Takom doing M60s? Or M48s? Or off the shelf borrowing?

ONE possible scenario: it's a mix of Dragon M60 and M48 parts like the AFV club one was a mix of Academy M60 and M48 parts.

Another: AFV club M60 and new turret parts.

Remember an M48H is a hybrid of M60 hull with an M48A5 turret. IT IS NOT AN M60A0!!

Where would the ERA-parts be coming from?
Looking forward to the reviews where the answers to 'who dun did it' will be revealed.

There's also new cupola, tracks, loader machine gun, wind sensor.

I bet it's AFV club M60 parts and rest all new.

AFAIK, Takom has produced all new tooled kits so far. Why would they start using other companies' molds for this? I'm pretty sure it will be all new...with the correct fender/track width he said hopefully...

I have the AFV Club Kit, which is really just reusing Academy sprues which reuses Tamiya sprues from the 70's. So there's really no excuse for the Takom kit not being better than the AFV Club version.

I'm going to agree with Jim. Why would any of you make an assumption that they are using parts from other manufacturers when everything to date from Takom has been brand new kits? That makes no sense.

The Chaffee turret on the Amx-13 was someone else's. Can't remember if Bronco or AFV club but it wasn't all new.

But if it is all new, it could mean another line of M60 and M48 since It's bits of both?

But, Afv Club showed off an all new M48 turret a few years back and does have an all new M60 hull so put two and two together along with that Chaffee turret --
Then realizing that borrowing bits is easier and cheaper than all new tooling it's more logical and reasonable than assuming it's all new. And AFV club has lent out parts as well as borrowed parts before.

Wrong. It was new. Both AFV Club and Bronco turrets have separate commander's cupolas. The turret in the Takom kit had the cupola molded on together with the turret shell. Their own design.

Thank you. Wasn't certain. Searched but couldn't confirm so I made an ignorant assumption. So that may mean another M48 and/Or M60 series. Hallelujah.

Poor stupid me. I knew there was a reason I hadn't invested in any new M48 or M60 kits yet.

Unfortunately I was not so lucky. Just before I made the origional post, I had placed bids on Ebay for the AFV Club kit and the CM-11 resin conversion. Maybe I will be outbid, (never hoped for that before)

The AFV Club does not reuse the Academy sprues, it is an all new kit with correct suspension and road arms (they even work) separate fenders and supports, separate engine grill and deck which slope inward to meet the hull (the Academy grill, engine deck is molded to the upper hull as one piece and slopes slightly outward to get it out of the mold) basic drivers compartment interior, basic gun breech, and numerous other details and refinements that the Academy kit is simply lacking.

He was referring to the old AFV Club CM11 kit, not new M60...
