Hi Everybody! I have just finished painting the base coat on a 1/35 Dragon Ka-Mi. I had a few questions about the detail painting.
1. I know that the ball on the turret machine gun was usually left bare metal, but what color do I paint the machine gun, as well as the main gun? I have seen others paint them in a sort of rusty brown.
2. I understand from photographic evidence that the propellers were probably painted gray also, rather than brass. Is this correct?
3. What color should the tracks be? I am use to painting German ww2 tracks. Are they the same color? I am using the Spade Ace tracks.
Here is my paint job so far.
Thanks for any help you can give me.

Hi John,
The machine gun shrouds are flat black. The main gun is a mahogany color. You can paint the props grey, then touch up the blade edges with some brass for visual interest. The tracks are regular steel, so rust them up just like you do German ones.

Thanks Matt! Any chance you would have an example of that mahogany color? Also, does anyone know how many links are in each track?
Thanks,
John
