One last side project, a Sturmgeschütz Sdkfz. 167 from Academy. I won't start any new projects until one of them (3) is finished. (fingers crossed)
I'm building this kit because I've never done a 3 tone camo before with the airbrush, and this was the cheapest kit in my stash to experiment on.
It will get a small base with a muddy road, I like this picture as a source of inspiration.

So here we go, the model has basic detail so it comes together pretty fast.

The hardest part is making the tracks, glueing all the elements together.

I shaped it a bit too loose maybe.

I used two figures from 'miniart 35021' for the crew.

Set up for airbrushing (hot glue)

I used 'Vallejo Dark Yellow Primer' for the light tone,
but I made the color lighter by adding about 30-40% white.

While the hull was drying I started painting the wheels.

Then used Vallejo 'olive green' and 'german dark red'.
I darkend the olive green a bit.
Had a lot of tip-drying problems, so had to clean the tip for every stroke...
(Currently spraying at +/- 2bar ~ 30psi, should that be higher for camo?)

At the moment I have this,
I still have to paint all the tools and after that pin washes, weathering etc...

Thanks for reading ; )
Kind regards
Steven
