Okay, who knows if the M31 was in and or around for D-Day?

Absolutely, Ken. The M31 T2 was the Limited Standard around that time frame. Hunnicutt shows a photo of an M31 in France on 18 August 1944. Hope this helps.

KEN,
The Concord book ARMOR on D DAY shows several photos of M31's in country.
They are in land and not on the beaches, but they gad to get there some how. It's safe to
say that they were involved in the landings as well. Just no shots @ the landing sites.
The pics that are in the book are of vehicles recovering Shermans that were nocked out. Help this helps. Tod
